You guys!!!! These are my parents!!! They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary!!! I just keep asking myself how is this possible? They can’t be married that long when they look this amazing!
It all started in psychology class at Kent State with a pack of lifesavers. My Dad put his books down on a desk and went to the back of the room to see who would sit there and if he should move to a better seat! He was happy with the pretty blonde that sat down near him and decided to keep that seat!!! They got married while still in college and worked hard to finish their degrees while supporting themselves. They built their first (and still current) house a few years after getting married and have done several additions/renovations to make it their dream home.
I wanted to do this photo shoot for them to celebrate and document their love and lives. They wanted to do this session in their back yard that is absolutely gorgeous and holds so many wonderful memories. I am so glad they choose this special location that was the perfect backdrop.
We celebrated their milestone anniversary with a blessing at church, surprise reception, family dinner and getaway to Hocking Hills in an amazing log cabin that fit all 12 of us!
I am so thankful for their steadfast example of love and commitment. We are so blessed to witness their love and dedication and I pray they can have many more years together.
